Apply For Lebesgue Master Scholarships 2022 in France

Applications are open for the Lebesgue master scholarships 2022 in France for the academic year 2022-2023. The students enrolled in the second year of mathematics degree can apply for the M2 scholarship. For students of the first-year master’s program, the M1 scholarship is open.

The Henri Lebesgue master offers in-depth training in fundamental and applied mathematics. A wide range of courses is offered each year with a rich set of complements covering a broad spectrum of today’s mathematics.

The Henri Lebesgue Center together with Ambition Lebesgue Loire and the Fondation de Rennes 1 grant excellence scholarships for the fundamental and applied mathematics pathways.

The total amount of the scholarship is 10.000€ for the academic year (Sept 1st to August 31st). The payment of the scholarship will be on a monthly basis, from September to June. The scholarship includes the internship gratification unless the lab decides to pay internship gratification. Students should ask their tutors and the admission office for more information. In the context of the project Ambition Lebesgue Loire, the jury may also attribute one or two fellowships for applications at the first of the master (M1) in Nantes University. Only applications from foreign universities will be eligible for these M1 fellowships and they will be reconducted for the 2nd year of the master’s after re-examination by the jury of the student grades at the end of the M1.

The applications are open from November to March 1st. The outcome of the selection process is edited in April.

The scholarship cannot be combined with any other regular remuneration.

Eligibility

The Lebesgue Master Scholarships 2022 is awarded to students enrolled in the second year of the fundamental mathematics pathway of our Masters in Rennes-Brest or in Fundamental and applied mathematics pathways in Nantes-Angers-Vannes. The selection process will be based on the academic quality of the transcripts, the motivation, and the recommendation letters.

The M2 scholarships are open to all students who have completed the first year of a master’s in mathematics at the end of the current academic year. Female applications and applications from foreign countries will be particularly appreciated.

The Lebesgue scholarship application is independent of the application for enrolment in the Master’s programs. The terms and conditions for the latter are indicated in the dedicated websites.
Information for foreign students

International students should check the Campus France website in November. 51 countries are applying the Etudes en France procedure which has been to be done individually by the student on top of the application on the Lebesgue website. Both procedures are compulsory. Please check the Campus France website for more information. Beware that the deadlines for the campusfrance procedure are much earlier than the ones for the Lebesgue scholarships.

Any student may apply for a research Internship at Lebesgue Center. This internship at Lebesgue Center is highly recommended for students who wish to enroll in the Ph.D. program
