Language Requirements to Study in LAOS
In Universities of LAOS, English language proficiency certificates submission such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, DET, etc are optional. This means you can study in LAOS without IELTS. Whereas, if the courses are taught in the French language then B2 level proficiency proof is required.
LAOS Study VISA Process with Requirements

The National University of Laos is one of the newest universities in Laos and globally, founded in 1996, with the maximum number of students studying here at the moment. As per the statistical data, there are around 23,000 students with 1,800 staff members. This university is famous for having 5 outclass campuses and 13 faculties, offering various degree programs. The National University of Laos is open to all local and international students. The annual tuition fee for overseas candidates here is $1,530 per year.

Souphanouvong University Scholarships:
Souphanouvong University got established in 2003 and is located in the city of Luang Prabang, the former capital of Laos. 5. University of Health Sciences Laos Scholarships:
The University of Health Sciences of Laos is one of the most important academic institutes in the country and is one of the cheapest universities in Laos. The admission process is a bit simpler and faster for the University of Health Sciences of Laos. However, it is offering a bachelor’s degree program in Medicine & Physics. 1. Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant:
Such scholarship is available for a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, painting, drawing, etc. The good thing about this scholarship program is that applications are always open to apply. Such scholarship is eligible for all nationality holders, plus it is a partial funding program.
All the artists, painters, and sculptors can apply for this LAOS scholarship. On the other hand, the National University of Laos is providing this amazing opportunity to the students studying there to get their hands on this program for skills enhancement. The winners of this scholarship program will receive a grant of up to CAD 15,000 as the first tuition grant. However, the second and third grant is CAD 18,000.
2. Lao-Korean College Scholarships:
Lao-Korean College is making waves in the region for its three scholarships to its most deserving candidates. All these scholarships are awarded to the selected enrolled students based on their academic performances, merit, and other skills. Such scholarships include;
- Presidential Scholarships: It is the kind of scholarship that will be given only to the freshman with the highest rank in the university.
- J.L. Scholarships: This scholarship will be granted to the selected candidate only due to any exceptional reason. However, the decision will be exclusively made by the college administration.
- Nehemia Scholarships: Only the worthiest student of every department will get this scholarship. Meanwhile, the cherry on the top is a 100% tuition fee waiver for scholarship-awarded students.
3. Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation – Short Term Grant:
The candidates who want to pursue their Master’s or Ph.D. degrees in Armenian studies can apply for this partial-funding scholarship. The application deadline for this scholarship is 10th December 2022. The scholarship winners will enjoy a grant of up to EUR 5,000.
4. Australia Award Scholarships by Vientiane College:
Vientiane College and the other donor governments jointly are granting Australia Award Scholarships to local and overseas students of Laos. It is available for the Undergraduate, Master’s, Ph.D., and TAFE levels. The selected candidates will avail of various benefits like;
